It seems like Summer has hidden itself away again begind the clouds and the rain, but the beautiful seasonal flowers coming into the shop remind us that we are heading towards a hopefully sunny few months! Our favourite blooms at the moment are blousy peonies in an array of shades of soft to bright pink, country style alliums, campanulas, feathery astilbe and lime green alchimilla which all look wonderful arranged together in a stylish hand tied bouquet.

We are getting into the swing of the wedding season and all really enjoy working together as a team to create wonderful displays for happy Brides and Grooms. Talking of weddings, we popped to London to see the flowers in the Abbey a few days after the Royal wedding. All our customers (well, mostly the ladies!) were talking about how magical the whole thing was and how beautiful Kate looked, a closer look at the displays in the Abbey could not be missed! After queuing for two hours, we made it inside and thought that the trees looked wonderful with lily of the valley and strabberry plants at the base. The main large arrangement above the Altar was very natural and consisted of blossom and lots of foliage cut from the Royal gardens, not an imported Dutch flower in sight, so certainly very British and very economical! The wedding seemed to lift the spirit of the whole Country, made us proud to be British and we wish Kate and WIlliam a long and happy future together.
